"Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let not your hands be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well." - Ecclesiastes 11:6
When I read this verse, many concepts catch my eye. First, we are to start our day sowing seed. Then, we are to continue sowing into the evening. Also, there is work involved in the sowing. Finally, the sowing show occur in many different areas.
The reference to idle is Ecclesiastes 9:10, "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom".
Anything worth having in this world is going to take some effort to get. However, if you will put in the effort and keep putting in the effort, God will honor your diligence. You will have harvests, the question is what is going to produce the best harvest. Since we can't see the end from the beginning clearly like God, we must sow each seed diligently.
