| Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our greatest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. -- Marianne Williamson |
| Feed Your Spirit, Fuel Your Life |
Isaiah 40:28-31 Did you realize that there are four types of energy that you use to keep going? Many people understand that eating right and exercising are keys to having energy; however, this is really not enough to accomplish everything that you want in life. In fact, if you waste any of your other energy sources - mental, emotional, and spiritual - you will run out of gas no matter how much you work out or how many tofu burgers you consume. One of the biggest wasters of energy is negative emotions. Whether it's bursts of anger or battles with guilt and anxiety, negative emotions will burn up your energy and desire. Energy consumed by emotional imbalances will affect all of the other energy sources immensely. Think about how difficult it is to concentrate when you are overly anxious about having enough money to cover the month. So, what's the answer? Be anxious for nothing, instead cast your cares on God for he cares for you. When you fill up your Spiritual reserve, the other energy sources are easier to keep full. You can't neglect any of them, but remember that God is the source of all energy. So, next time you run out of gas, look turn to the One who can help.
