Deuteronomy 8:18
But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.

This maybe a shock to some of you; however, it's in the Word of God, so, what am I going to do? If God gives you the ability to produce wealth, how can wealth be bad?

Of course, the answer is that it's not. If someone tells you that you should be poor because you are a Christian, then, ask them how they explain this verse (and many others).
