Blessed In His Image
Written by Shontta Stevens

I have seen the Lord. I’ve touched His face and held His hand. His aroma was as fragrant as a spring day. He is gentle and powerful; through His eyes I saw the beauty of creation. The moment I realized Him, I was more in awe of His blessings and of His love toward us. I looked in the eyes of my daughter, and I saw the Lord. I felt His strength in the arms of my husband and heard Him laugh through the voice of my son. And, I beheld His face as I gazed at my own face in the mirror. We have been made in His image and blessed with all the power and authority that His image possesses.

The Bloodline of the Blessing
Written by Shontta Stevens

But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name. Who owe their birth neither to bloods nor to the will of the flesh [that of physical impulse] nor to the will of man [that of a natural father], but to God. [They are born of God!].

—John 1:12-13 AMP

How Faith Works
Written by Bill Tyler

Raise Your ExpectationsToday, I'm going to share some of my notes compiled during a sermon delivered by Dr. Gene Lingerfelt. Any mistakes are in my interpretation and note capturing.

Faith is not belief and belief is not Faith. Faith requires Action. Faith is Acting on the Word of God. What we believe does matter. Quite simply, you can't approach God with prejudice.

"Have faith in God," Jesus answered. "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. - Mark 11:22-24

If God Promises, He Delivers
Written by Bill Tyler

Special DeliveryMoreover, the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Jeremiah, what do you see? And I said, I see a branch or shoot of an almond tree [the emblem of alertness and activity, blossoming in late winter]. Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it. - Jeremiah 1:11,12 (Amplified)

Often when I share scripture with you, I'm learning to apply it my own life as well. While it's easy to say that God will uphold His Word, it's a different matter entirely to support this truth with our Faith and Conduct. If we really believe that God will perform His Word (and I mean every time), then, we must closely examine our own actions if our lives do not line up with His promises.

God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act?Does he promise and not fulfill? - Numbers 23:19

It is clear from this passage that God will fulfill His promises. As an example, God has promised amazing results if we first, fully obey God and then, carefully follow ALL His commands. So, I must conclude that I'm doing something wrong if I'm not getting the results that He promised. Otherwise, I would be calling God a liar, and that is just not the truth.

So, here's the challenge. If you are experiencing anything that is contrary to the blessings lined out in Deuteronomy 28, ask God to show you where you're missing it. Then, when He does, correct it.
